An antique lady’s
robe with a dark dark blue ground from the end of the Qing Dynasty circa 1900.  This is not a
reproduction or theatrical robe.  The embroidered ruyi collar indicates
the status of the lady.  Unusual to see figures on the lapel, butterflies as well.  Floral motif decorates the blue ground.  And
the border strip depicts ladies in garden pavilion scenes, all stylistically conforming to the scenes of the ruyi collar.  This is a very unusual decoration which I’ve not found before.

Auction:  open $1490  buy now 2090

Condition:  Some wear to the thread and fabric at seams and sleeves as might be expected.  Stains on the inside (not visible when shown).  This is a real life robe, not theatrical or repro.

***  Please look at the pictures carefully and ask any questions and request additional pictures before bidding.  Unless there is gross error, we cannot entertain returns due to “poor condition”, “fading colors”, or “loose threads” or
words of that nature.
Condition is good with very minimal losses and some inevitable soiling from use… this is an actual antique hat which was used.
